TheDigitalJedi:I enjoyed his brutal humor. The marketing is indeed hilarious. I wonder how this channel stays afloat because I'm sure he has pissed off every sponsor or former sponsor. Lol. Some of his work is very much appreciated because in truth, he has helped the little guy many times.
He's found his place as a consumer advocate of sorts.Probably less dependant on sponsors than most at this stage.Like majority of tech tubers, you can only watch them so much.I still prefer written reviews. (I feel fewer people today can read a manual and fix something. Majority needs to see a YT vid that shows them what to do.Total segway old man rant, youre welcome.)

Watched MSI unveil of their new SUPRIM 5090, and suddenly I have reservation regarding the card fitting inside my Corsair 500D Airflow: Especially given the increased width and the power input which point directly to the outer door, instead of being oriented like the founder card.Wished all AIB followed the reoriented power input design of the founder model.

Oh damn, I want to be optimistic and "hope" the prices will be more bearable 3 months from now. 😳

Official prices won't budge for 6-8 months and the cards will be all bought out within first day by scalpers and availability won't stabilize for first 2-3 months at all.

We are all hooping but the chances are it wont and we'll have to deal with high prices. Nothing new, right especially for EU?

As far as I know, prices have to be displayed with VAT included in Eu.That's 100% the prices I was expecting for 5080.Premium 5090 are gonna be 2550-2750euros.I expect the 5090 MSI Suprim around that price at least.

Undying:If there was no tech like DLSS/FG the developers would have to actually optimize their games instead. Wouldn't that be sight 😀
They do, within the time they have and the resources available, which is not much in both cases (sadly). And then many get made redundant shortly after, too. Gotta love gamedev. o_OLet's all regress back to fixed function pipeline and basic T&L with 8 hardware lights. That's all we truly need, right? 😛Things are changing for the better, but it's going to take a while. Admittedly, the ridiculous costs and end pricing don't help adoption or user sentiment!

In Portugal those prices are normal, so no surprise from me.

How situation really was with many older games, long before DLSS or RT:Bioshock Infinite: traversal stutterCrysis 3: low fps and stutter when CPU bound in grassOblivion/Skyrim: lots of traversal stutterWatch Dogs 2: poorly optimized posThe Witcher 3 original DX11: shader compile stutterKingdom Come D.: super low fpsSerious Sam 4: totally broken engineGames stutter because industry is broken. It would be even worse without tools like DLSS, which can optionally mitigate issues. And before hardware would be sufficient for heavy RT and high render res, we probably have some form of neural rendering.

Hey, remember all those 3080's that were scalped during covid...because these prices are pretty close to that right now....

Why is everyone worried? They're all mediocre offerings stuffed with AI that nobody wants!:D
